About Tipsy

Born Yewande Abiodun, TIPSY, popularly referred to by her friends and fans, as PROPHETESS AYE is one of the few female rappers that hails from Nigeria, even though she presently resides in the United Kingdom, she still carries the flag of her home state, ONDO high up anywhere she goes, even through her music. The twist in her talent is that she raps in Yoruba language – which no other female rapper does so far. TIPSY was inspired by the late young indigenous rapper, Da Grin and many others. Even though Tipsy started her entertainment career as a dancer from a very tender age, she ventured into music as a career, officially in 2011 when her rap ability was discovered by JJC. In 2011, she was signed as a rapper under JJC’s entertainment outfit, BIGBOYZ ENTERTAINMENT, alongside 2kriss, Noni Zondi and Lil’ Miss, as from then on, she has been releasing freestyle songs and singles on a regular basis. The same 2011 saw Tipsy winning 2 awards (BEST RAGGAE DANCEHALL – NIGERIA MUSIC VIDEO AWARDS in Nigeria, also for BEST FEMALE ARTISTE – NIGERIA UK BASED ACHIEVERS AWARD) and nominated for 2 others (in NMVA & NEA), and since then, she has not stopped working. TIPSY has performed at countless live shows in Nigeria, United Kingdom, and in Ukraine, and her stage performance presence is never one to forget. TIPSY has worked with a number of artistes and producers such as DEL B, LAYLOW PRODUCTIONS, JJC, OLAMIDE, 2KRISS and DAMMY KRANE and to mention a few.
